Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where do I check in?All guests will check in at the front desk in the lobby of Legends on the Lake.
2. Where do I check in after 5:00?
After 5:00 all guests will check in at the security gate. They will have a check-in packet with all necessary information.
3. What kind of coffee pot does my unit have?
All our units come equipped with a standard coffee pot. Some may have an additional Keurig or other type of coffee maker.
4. Do I get access to the amenities?
Yes, each reservation comes with access to Rumbling Bald amenities. Each guest will receive a guest pass upon check in.
5. Do I need to bring towels?
Each unit will have towels for guest use. The outdoor & indoor pools provide towels for guests, but the beach does not.
6. Where can I rent a golf cart?
All golf cart rentals can be made through the Bald Mountain Pro Shop, they can be reached at 828.694.3042.
7. Can I walk to the amenities?
Although some of our units are less than a mile from the amenities, we recommend renting a golf cart or driving your personal vehicle to the amenities. All amenities have ample parking, and it is free!
8. Can I check in early?
If you would like to check in early, there is an early check-in fee (cost depends on what type of unit). Guests are welcome to arrive early to obtain the guest passes, so you can enjoy the amenities until your unit is ready for check-in. As soon as we know that the unit is ready, we will let you know!
9. Where is the closest grocery store?
The closest grocery store is Ingles & it is about 8 miles away. It takes about 15 minutes to get to Ingles from Rumbling Bald. Guests can use the following address for Ingles: 276 NC Highway 9 Lake Lure, NC 28746.
10. Is there a shuttle?
Rumbling Bald does not currently have a shuttle. If you need shuttle recommendations, please contact Guest Services at 828.694.3015.
